St Joseph’s Chiltern is a CHILD SAFE school.
We value, respect and empower all our students to be safe.
St Joseph’s is a vibrant and inclusive community where our children are encouraged to live out our motto of Loving, Living, Living. We look forward to working with you and your family in our welcoming community, where the staff are committed to providing the best possible environment for your child to flourish.
We are a small Catholic Primary School and the size of our school allows staff to know each child both as a person and a learner. Our small class sizes and unique facilities enables us to offer an all encompassing education with the capacity to meet the needs of each child.
It is hard to believe the term is nearly over, with one week remaining. Term two has not passed without its challenges, particularly with regard to student absence, due to sickness. I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to parents and carers, for keeping children home when they have not been well. This helps to keep everyone in the community safe. With holidays around the corner it will allow everyone a bit of space and time to feel better.
Excursions next week
We are still waiting on a number of parents to give their child permission to attend the excursions next week.
On Monday June 20th the whole school will attend Magic Mister Mike and on Tuesday June 21st the students will travel to Rutherglen for the ‘Healthy Living Festival’ workshop. The students will walk down to Memorial Hall on Monday and on Tuesday we have a bus which will pick us up to travel to Rutherglen Primary School for the ‘Healthy Living Festival’. It will be a great two days full of excitement and different experiences.
The students school reports will be available on PAM next week, we will notifying you when you can access them. The parent/teacher interviews will take place next term, this will allow the students time to explore their goals and report back. An invitation to nominate a time will be sent through PAM at the end of July beginning of August next term.
I would like to thank all the staff for their continued hard work and for the care that is always shown to each child at St Joseph’s.
Stay warm and have a great week. Jenny
