The students have been really settled and are getting back into the classroom routines, which is great to see. The school is often a safe place for children as the routine and people around them are familiar which helps to keep everyone calm. Year 4,5,6 have Pepsi the therapy dog in their classroom and she is a familiar sight around the school. It is amazing how much of a calm influence she has been in the senior classroom and with the whole school.
At the moment we are able to access fresh fruit for the students with the support of FoodShare and the Chiltern neighbourhood house. So each day a bowl of fruit is available for students to access at fruit break in their classrooms. It is amazing how much fruit they will eat if it is cut up for them.
Have a great week everyone! :-)
